With VAR being such a significant part of modern soccer now, do you think it’s leading to a better game overall? It’s definitely a mixed bag. VAR has done wonders for improving the accuracy of calls, which is a big deal in a sport where a single goal can make all the difference. However, it’s also changed the pace of the game, making it less fluid. According to UltimateCapper, "VAR has undeniably changed modern soccer, bringing both solutions and new challenges.” You can get more insights here: https://ultimatecapper.com/vars-impact-on-modern-soccer-193753/. While it’s helpful, there’s still a lot of room for improvement to ensure it doesn’t kill the game’s momentum.

Exactly, while VAR ensures a fairer game, it also introduces new problems. One major issue is how long these reviews take. They interrupt the flow of the match, and for fans, especially those watching live, it can be a frustrating experience. Soccer is meant to be continuous and fast-paced, and VAR disrupts that rhythm. There’s also the emotional aspect — you want to celebrate a goal immediately, but now fans are often left holding their breath, waiting to see if the goal will stand. VAR is improving accuracy, but it’s also making soccer a little less exciting in the process.
