Sony Xperia Z1

Sony Xperia Z1

Hi,

the Sony Xperia Z1 has a width of 7.4 cm, while the Dive is built for smartphones with "up to 7 cm" width (which seems to be somewhat hidden on the "newsroom" site, by the way). So I'm wondering if there would be a way to make it fit, perhaps by removing some material if that is possible? Or would I have to print a custom OpenDive with suited size?

Thanks,
Thomas

We are working to make Dive compatible to larger phones.

Yes you can cut off the lid hook and use a sticky velcro Tape to close the dive.
You could make a tutorial for doing that.

Ok, Dive ordered :)

The "Dive" page on the website looks much better now. There the size field for the Z1 indicates that it is okay.

Hmm, my Z1 will just snuggkly fit into the dive, however if i put it in in the right orientation, the volume-button is pressed :-(
Rotating it 180° would fit much better, but then Rollercoaster is upside down.

If Rollercoaster and other Apps could use Landscape mode on both directions, this would be an ease solution.
until then, Z1 should be makred "yellow" on the Dive-Homepage imho.

Does anybody know how to contact the Software developers ?

Got Dive last friday and i have already suggestion for bigger phones. I would put little bit bigger lenses on it (about 2mm) and integrate them to holders since you have made them removable and by that them are easier to clean than before and do not break so easily if dropped (like i almost did in first day xD)

We are already sourcing for the next Generation of Lenses for Dive. They will be made available as fast as possible for everyone.

Im also using my dive with a xperia z1 now. It barely fits without cutting sth from my dive. But when i want to use my wired Xbox gamepad i have to use some adhesive tape because the USB port of the z1 is nearly in the middle of the longer side ( the side where are also the volume buttons) instead of to be, like usually, at the shorter side. And this continues to another problem which is that the phone's display isnt 100%ly in the center of the dive. This results to an asynchrone view to the SBS display because with one eye you see a little bit of the side , that normally only should be seen by your other eye.
But like i said it still works - tho sometimes it could feel a bit strange. But still this issue can be fixed like other people did here on this board.

But before i do that with my dive ive wanted to ask when we could expect the new lenses ?
In which way will they be different - better ? ( i just hope that they wont jump out anymore ..)

I know that you cant tell us a precise date. I just want to know it a bit. Maybe in 3months ? 6? At the end of this year ?
Also a little newssection in this board would be very nice. Without one people feel like theres no active developement for their new product.

Hoping to read a reply -
With Kind regards

It's not a violent io games because you can't strike people directly. Deception and cunning maneuvers, on the other hand, are encouraged. Allow others to hit you. They'll pass away, leaving valuable blocks behind! Make a loop around your lesser foes. To put it another way, do everything you can to be the only car on the field.

To obtain a customs clearance, you will need to provide a detailed inventory of all the items you are bringing with you. You may also need to provide documentation such as your passport, visa, and work permit.  Insured ATV & UTV Transportation to or from Louisiana
