Warping and clipping in the right camera

Warping and clipping in the right camera

by iulius2000 on Sep 23rd, 2014 13:01 PM

I do not know why, but on some Android devices i have some problems with the right camera.
Warping is making some objects and the floor appear distorted only in the right camera.
A few objects are not rendered in the right camera, are rendered only in the left camera.

Do you know how can I fix this?

Hello,
we use Unity 4.5 and we noticed the same problem, on Nexus 5 and Samsung S5 devices. The problem did not occur on other devices and platforms.

For some unknown reason, when drawing in a viewport whose X coordinate is not 0, the vertices of the rendered meshes are warped. So the right camera (with viewport X = 0.5) has a deformed image.
Our current fix is to render to a texture the right camera (with a viewport whose X coordinate is 0), and then to draw a quad on the right side of the screen using that texture.
If a simpler solution is available, we would be glad to know it.

pbaerlocher--could you possibly help expand on your fix, or anyone else who's encountered this issue chime in?

We've tried implementing what you suggesting and it seems like it DOES fix the warping issue but it's hard to tell as it's also created a weird tiling effect over the right camera where we get like 16 copies of the same image on the right camera when we do an export. This does NOT show in the Editor at all--in fact in Editor everything looks fine except the terrain texture shows up as black, so we just attempted a build and saw what would happened since the Editor has not been reliable at displaying what we'll actually see when exporting to an S5 with this warp issue.

Could anyone please provide more detail instructions or screenshots of what they had to do to circumvent this weird bug? Is Durovis aware of this issue and do they have any suggestions? We're on a tight deadline and would really appreciate any help. Thanks!

You'll have a fascinating choice because I enjoy safe and enjoyable games. Game UNO Online is a quick-paced card game, a family favourite for more than 40 years. It's fun for all ages and can be played anywhere. It has a well-balanced combination of light strategy and chance. To win, you must quickly get rid of all of your cards.

Warping and clipping in photography refer to the distortions and loss of image data that can occur during image capture.  photoshop clipping path services   Using the right camera settings and lens can minimize these issues. Properly adjusting focal lengths and angles helps maintain perspective, while using high-quality lenses reduces warping. Understanding these elements ensures clearer, more accurate images, enhancing overall photographic quality and composition.
