Swiss Activists Want Bitcoin in National Reserves – Thoughts?

Just came across something pretty interesting and wanted to hear what you all think.
In Switzerland, a group of activists is trying to get the government to hold Bitcoin as part of the country's national reserves. They're using the country’s direct democracy system, and if they gather 100,000 signatures, it’ll go to a national vote.

Their argument? Bitcoin dominance. They believe Bitcoin is strong enough and established enough to deserve a place in the Swiss National Bank’s reserves—alongside gold and foreign currencies. They say it’s a way to protect the economy from inflation and global instability, and they trust Bitcoin more than other cryptos because it’s the oldest and most stable.
Of course, not everyone’s convinced. Some folks are worried about price volatility, energy use, and how secure it would be for the government to hold it. But it’s a big step for crypto to even be part of the national conversation like this.

What do you all think? Is it a smart move for a country like Switzerland? Or is it too risky to bring Bitcoin into national reserves?
