Why do people believe in magic?

Esotericism is the name given to various teachings that imply belief in something supernatural and otherworldly. Esoteric concepts differ greatly from each other, and their supporters use different terminology: for example, fans of numerology refer to Eastern religious practices, and human design - to quantum physics. But all esoteric teachings have one thing in common: they promise the help of something supernatural and contradict scientific knowledge.

All esoteric concepts can be divided into several types, depending on what their supporters believe in. This can be the influence of the stars, the power of some hidden energies, or the existence of higher powers that give people clues through cards, pendulums, coffee grounds or hypnosis.

Fortune telling on Tarot cards. Probably, in popularity, Tarot cards are now second only to astrology. Numerologists interpret the meanings of numbers quite freely: for example, they managed to find a connection between the murders of American presidents and discover the encrypted number 666 in Hitler's name. The principles of numerology are also used to create psychomatrices - predictions using a special square in which you need to enter numbers from the date of birth.

Energy practices. Various esoteric concepts are based on the belief in the existence of certain energies that can transfer information and influence people. This includes theta healing, family tree studies, the use of magical properties of stones, and feng shui - not just interior design, but a way of organizing space that promises to attract happiness and wealth into your life.
