@jpslara
the loading takes some time. be patient, it could take some minutes. the screen is not animated so it may looks like it is freezed. please try again and wait...

@all
the standard control will only work with snakebyte controller and is only tested with it. all other controllers wich could be mapped as keyboard may work.
the unity engine is a bit limited by using gamepad buttons. so my setup can just read keycodes of normal characters like on a keyboard. thats the reason why you should start your snakebyte controler/or other controler in keyboard mode. other modes are not supported.

@Bigcan
for your control problem, look at the text @all.
does the "fly" button not work? dont you get to the next screen "load"?
The text appears very little inside the buttons on smarthphones with a high resulution. this is a compromise to older smarthpones with a lower resolution. on lower resolutions the text appears much bigger.

I tried playing with a keyboard, and encountered a huge problem.

Obviously, my keyboard is on my desktop. But when I start the game, I am facing the rear of the plane. That's kind of a problem ...

I tried playing on another table, facing the right direction. And I was faced with another obstacle. The camera is constantly turning to the right. I think this happens for every unity+dive demo.
This was not that much of a problem when I was trying to use a gamepad, and I would turn around a lot anyway. But with a keyboard I realised it means I can't keep facing the right direction.

So I can't use this demo right now, and I don't think it has to do with your game. But more with dive integration in unity. (Or maybe with the sensor of my phone ?)

@Bigcan, wich smarthpone do you use at this moment? maybe this could help me to figure out the problem....

@kakek
i know the problem with facing the rear of the plane at starting. This problem even appears on my Space Walk app. By contacting the Dive developers, the reason for that seems not to be really clear at this time. But i received a tip to avoid this problem. Hopefully i can solve this matter in later updates and other games i´m working on.
The only tip i have for you at this moment is to play the game sitting on a swivel chair with the keyboard on your legs :D . Thats what i did while testing keyboards...
This is even helpfull when the sensor starts moving to the right, wich really is a problem with the smarthpone gyroscope i think. I tried many apps on different smarthpones wich belong to friends, and all of them started this moving more or less. On my HTC device the tracking appears nearly everytime but often stops when i wait some seconds without mooving. On my old Samsung Galaxy S2 the problem shows up very rarely. Seems like we have to wait for improved gyroscope technology, or you must be lucky to get a phone with a "good working" gyroscope ;)

We will release more examples, and I'm also going to make a video tutorial on how to deal with this and how to avoid it.
You can try to make a Front Object and assign it to Front Object in OpenDiveSensor.cs and activate add rotation to add the rotation of this object. if you make it a child to a moveable object like a rollercoaster or car, it will turn the Dive Direction with it.

thak you for your information about to wait, after about one minute the game/demo began to run and I think that it is great. One of better demo I have tested until now.

Only some tips, the menu options need that you get access to touch screen, and this is dificult if you have the phone into dive unit, for example after crash to "continue", As I have sixaxis and PS3 gamepad, I have a mouse emulation in gamepad and I can press de button from this mouse, but I not sure if other gamepad have this feature. Maybe you can capture a key to press continue when the keyboard is configured.

Another issue, In my s3 I began look at rear too, as other say in the post.

Thank you again for this demo.

thanks a lot for the great demo! its a blast to play!

I agree with jpsala - a button to confirm the reset would be clutch.

for those with the sixaxis app - click on chanige ime and go to set up input methods. from there you can change the keyboard emulation and designate keys (wasd,etc.) to the ps3 buttons. doing this allowed me to use the ps3 controller. you can also enable mouse emulation like jpsala described for clicking reset when you wreck

@stefan
thx, more tutorials would be great. the dive camera uses the ariplane mesh for rotation at this time.

@jpslara and bbennet22
hmm, i could realize to create a customizable button that can be pushed to enter the menu. no problemo. but i´m not sure if thats really a good idea. i build the menu in a simple 2d scene, to have more space on the screen, to put all the options on. when you switch to the menu via button, you still have to remove your phone because the menu is not in stereoscopic fiew.
the button to reset your plane, i made for the stereo view, because it would be very anoying to put your phone outside everytime you crash.
The mouse pointer should shows up with every controler wich can be setup as keyboard and mouse. I use this pointer always to click buttons, and thougt about to use it always on menus. but i came to the conclusion not to do it, because not everyone has a controller with that feature.

I think that could be a good idea to use control up-down-left-rigth button to move in menu and press fire button to activate an option.

It is true that menu are in 2D but aprefer use it blink a eye and look for a moment without take off my durovis-dive.
