SBS Video Playback

Hi,

yesterday my durivix dive arrived and I tested a lot. The dive-demos were quite impressiv. But when I tried to playback some SBS 3D Movies, my experience were a bit sobering. I almost experienced no 3D effect.

Is it possible, because of the video-material? I have tried 1080p-movies in SBS on my Samsung Galaxy S3. It only have 1280x720. Is the experience better, when I use 720p-movies?

I had a surprisingly good 3D experience when watching this particular SBS video in the Dive:

I just opened it in the YouTube app, fixed the lenses in place and suddenly felt like I was there. Actually I kept subconsciously trying to turn my head to look around, and getting nauseous as a result. Maybe you just need better videos to try, or maybe it's a more personal thing that works better for some people than others. Hope this helps.

Remember that these videos are often vertically stretched because they are meant to be watched on a 3d tv.

There will be an app which can view this and enable slight head tracking to the sides to watch the whole video which can correct for this effect.
