Good to know that it's working for you nente002! By the way, The "no HMD detected" won't be the determining factor whether the game will work with the tracker or not. Even with that message, games will still work as long as they start with a side-by-side display. The games that will NOT work are the ones that do not start with SBS. Like rift coaster for instance.

Oh and have an extra pair of pants/shorts handy when playing dreadhalls.

I just got mail from TwomonUsb, my request is forwarded to the development team as they thought it was a good Idea.
My request was, make it so that we can set as what type of device twomonUSB will id it self, so you can set is as Oculus rift (then all games will play!!!!!!)

I'll keep you guys posted of updates!

Yes you connect this via usb, there are wireless usb solutions, they can transmit usb signal, but it will cost.
And you will need batteries, so you will end up with a pocket full of batteries.

Here check this out: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=140&t=17710
The hardware you will need: http://www.asus.com/Multimedia/WAVI/

bit the bullet on this app and HOLY GUACAMOLE! I've seen it and I still don't believe it! The streaming is buttery smooth! Well not 60 fps smooth lol but the difference in streaming quality between this godly app and Kainy is night and day. I thought it wont work on my HTC One M8 as i got a black screen when i started the app...actually i always get black screen at first but eventually refreshes itself as my extended desktop (2-3 mins waiting time but its all good afterwards) or maybe its just my phone and results on other smartphones may differ. The crème de la crème of this app is the zoom-in feature which alleviated the eyestrain that I always get from Kainy's fixed screen. Big thanks to you, nente002 for finding this gem!

Attached link downloads the Oculus EDID file which is required to spoof original rift's HMD. Perhaps this may prove useful to twomonUSB developer team. :)

Hi Kreikins, Good to hear it works for you too!
Can you do me a favour? Can you try this Oculus demo? https://share.oculusvr.com/app/millenni ... experience
If you press the space bar after the demo starts you will see the frame rate the demo is running on.
And tell me if you have a GTX GeForce? I have a GT750M (laptop with a i7 intel and 8 GB ram) but because GeForce optimization doesn't work for me (you need a GTX) it runs on the Intel graphics 4600 HD integrated card and I get around 17-20 F/S. WIth a 100% cpu load. Oh and the [ and ] buttons let you increase the FOV (we have better FOV then Oculus DK1!!)
I got another mail from TwomonUsb This time from the CS manager.
Saying that he really like the idea of spoofing. Stating that the def team is working on it.
I'll mail him the link you provided! High hopes here!! :D

If they manage to do so I bet TwomonUSB will have a large base of users!
As always I'll keep you guys posted.

Sorry but I'm using a desktop with amd gpu so there's no chance of using the discrete card by default. Pressing the spacebar showed me a solid 60 fps. Several oculus games and demos do have some issues with NVidia optimus. Have you tried forcing the dedicated GPU to render the games? That can be done in NVidia Control Panel.

Holy moly, I've been busy with general life stuff so my VR project has taken a back seat, but this is all such awesome news. I'm definitely going to grab TwoMon and try it out once I get some free time. Good idea talking to the developers, nente.

Though now people are going to be making games for DK2, which is a totally different thing. I wonder if it will be easier or harder to spoof than DK1?
