Hello,

i have an idea, but not the hardware to test it...

Can somebody try this?

just download the TriDef 3D drivers from
http://www.tridef.com/download/TriDef-3D-latest.html
You can use this program to run about 800 games in Side-by-Side mode.

After this , stream you PC-Monitor to your Smartphone with Kainy

I tested it with World of Warcraft today but I'm still waiting for my Dive until 17.12. so I can't tell you until then how it looks with Dive putted on.

Btw. I made a screenshot on my HTC One to give you an idea how it looks:



As you can also see on the screen, most of the test it was running with 60 fps but with some little stutters from time to time - but overall playable

My Hardware for the test was:
Intel Core i7 3.4 GHz
8 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 560
Windows 8.1
HTC One

Soon as I have my Dive I'll test again and post my results - hope this helps you.

looks great!

it would be interesting if you could detail the actual software configuration that you use:
- which desktop streaming application ? any special tweak ?
- how do you get SBS 3D to work in WoW ?
- did you implement head tracking (freePIE, ... ) ?

The Programms I used were exactliy the ones "BuD" posted the links in the first post of the topic (TriDef and Kainy).
Kainy is very cheep at the moment in the store (discount) and TriDef has an 14 days trial.

TriDef does the SBS and Kainy streams it to the phone (both worked for me "out of the box", but you'll need strong hardware - I think - cause my PC is working hard to do the SBS (ingame fps nearly halfed) and on my "Galaxy Note 10.1", Kainy doesn't run as good as on the "HTC One".

Kainy has an build in accelerometer (configurable):





With this config I was able to move the view with phone left/right when I hold the right mouse-button - looks pretty cool when your in first person view in wow (home-button) - when I got my Dive I will test how it looks with Dive putted on

For the test I used keyboard and mouse from the PC - but I think also with Dive as "Monitor" this makes sense cause the PC is always runnig, so you can save the money for hardware

Hi Guys,

I´ve tried Tridef with several settings and Kainy as streamin app.

I would like to use it for streaming First Person Games, but ive came to the conclusion , thats its not possible because of a slight delay in movement , naturally caused by streaming applications , and you cant optimize that very well.

The second failure was thats its not possible to launch an application in Fullscreen Mode and Streaming the screen to your Tablet or Phone. If you are in Fullscreen mode , just a black screen appears on the phone.

Maybe you guys can work that out and find a solution for the described problems !

I am looking forward to receiving news on that !!

The problem with the delay is true and in shooters you wouldn't get happy I think - but for questing a little and enjoy the ingame-feeling in first-person view in a mmo it works I think, but needs more testing after I get my Dive.
Also it's a big difference on which phone I run Kainy: HTC One is ok with some stutters from time to time, Galaxy Note 10.1 I would say playable and on the Desire HD of my girlfriend let's say working but unplayable

I used Tridef "out of the box" - the only thing I put in was enable the SBS: in WOW/Rift it works without problems in fullscreen - STWOR I don't bring to work until now - blackscreen with only mousepointer visable on phone and sound is working.

So I think it's different from game to game what works with Kainy, and Kainy must bei the part that make's it screw up for you, I think (even without Tridef running I get blackscreen with STWOR in fullscreen) - maybe there is another app in store to stream better - splashtop's performance is lower after test.

Hello there.So i'm newbie with all this Vr stuff , but i trying to use Dive + splashtop + freepie trackir emulation + android frePIE IMU to play pc games trow dive.But i can't get to work freepie trackir with my android in games such as euro truck simulator 2 .Maybe someone from you guys now how to get it done ?? Mouse emulation works without any problems between freepie and android but trackir isn't working.

just minimize the 3d application and open it again
, after you done thia you get the fullscreen 3d content to splashtop ( for example ) . it worked for me i get blackscreen to , and tridef dont allow 3d in windowed mode , so this is my way to succes 3d gaming on dive with my computer



EDIT: Disable Desktop Composition in Compatibility settings tab in shortcut an then put it in tridef3d launcher

Can you explain how you run it on android? i dont find there any apk on github, i've installed the ms installer from theri homepage, so the client should work on pc now, but how i get it run on android? please help i want headtracking
