iPhone 6 problem - left eye disabled

iPhone 6 problem - left eye disabled

by kefon on May 14th, 2015 19:59 PM

Hi Torben, hi everyone,

I'm using Unity 5.0.1, Dive plugin 2.1.1 and Xcode 6.3.1.
Thank to the latest Dive plugin, everything is fine and work great, but as I'm about to release a small game, I just tried it on an iPhone 6.
Usually I work on an iPhone 5, and everything is ok, but I just had a strange problem on iPhone 6 : The left eye is disabled, nothing, black screen.
The right eye is working perfectly, but nothing on the left one.

Any idea ? Does anyone has the same problem ?
I don't always have an iPhone 6 at hand, and I can't reproduce the problem on the simulator as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ simulators in Xcode display both eyes as expected...
I can't even imagine why this problem is happening, so any idea is welcome !

Cheers and thanks in advance

Hi,

thank you very much for your feedback!

Personally, I only tested on iPhone 5, but Mike just tested the Dive Unity Demo on iPhone 6 and had no problems :|

Sorry, that I don't have better news, but maybe the bug is related to something else...
Perhaps it could help, if you provide us with some kind of debug log and/or screenshots or maybe even an *.ipa file or the generated xcode source?

[EDIT]
Do you force a specific Graphics API (Open GL ES 2.0/3.0/Metal) in Unity? In our tests we set it to 'Auto'

Hello Torben !

Finally I was able to find someone to lend me an iPhone 6 for a few hours...
So, after spending some time looking for the problem, I finally found the answer!

To solve my problem I had to disable the Anti Aliasing in "Project Settings > Quality Settings > Rendering".
When the anti aliasing is disabled, my project works fine on iPhone 5 and iPhone 6.

What is really weird is that when I activate the anti aliasing, the left eye is disabled on an iPhone 6, but both eyes keep working perfectly on an iPhone 5. I can't explain why this is happening... Any idea ? :) (for the Graphics API I'm in 'Auto' too)

Well, again, thank you for your plugin and your work! I hope to be able to publish my first mini-game using your plugin in the next days, of course I will poke you when it's available. I hope you will enjoy it!

Cheers

My curiosity was aroused when there were many rumors of the stickman fighter game that made me try this game right away. For me stickman fighter is a very attractive game, helps me increase reflexes and relax but I can't get far. How about you?

Now has IP13 and is about to launch IP14. Perhaps the people using IP6 are very few trap the cat.

Method 1: Use iTunes software to regularly backup and sync data: For most iPad and iPhone users, the iTunes tool is indispensable when you want to backup data, and sync ... for Apple devices. And in case iPhone 6 is disabled, you can use iTunes to fix it. wordle io games

Although this topic was created a long time ago, I still want to give you some advice. If your Iphone 6 is defective, I think you should bring it to a service center to have it checked. wordle onlinewordle unlimited
