I have it all working for the most part, just one thing I am curious about. When I enable SBS 3D the aspect ratios of the 2 screens is all distorted (stretched height wise), is there a way to fix this or is this just how it works?

Also, I am using Vireio for testing (it's free) but will get TriDef once the Dive arrives, is this the best 3D converter to use? Does TriDef have options to alter the aspect ratio or something?

First of all: Good luck! :D

Regarding the aspect ratio problem: Someone else and myself asked that question in the TriDef dev forums and got redirected to here: http://www.tridef.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3325
I did not get around to try it myself so please report back with your experiences. :) I am sure many of us are interested in this.
For some games you an also install a tool like WinSplitRevolution and use windowed or borderless windowed mode and some custom window sizes to set the correct aspect ratio and screen size (e.g. I heard that CoD Ghosts may work there, especially the underwater level!).

I've followed the instructions here and elsewhere as best I could, but the lag and fps on splashtop is appalling even with USB passthrough and fps.reg (maybe 2-4 fps?). Am I doing something wrong or is that just how it is?

I just found out about program named TwomonUSB, which enables screen sharing between PC and Android/Apple device. I found some reviews and stuff and in every review it said theres no latency. I even found comment from Dives facebook page where some guy said he uses twomonUSB which works great and no lag at all. I dont have the money myself to buy it and test it out so im bringing it out if someone else might want to give it a try, as it seems super promising and might be a big leap for Dive/DIY Dive users! :)

Heres links for android and apple

Before you buy the app you should know that Android can do this out of the box. When you plug in via USB select the "Internet Pass-through" option, shares your PC network with your phone.

I just gave it a try and it didn't seem much better really, Kainy was the only one that would work and it had the same lag, maybe the app works better but I am not sure I want to throw $10 at it to find out yet.

For me the best performance is with GeForce Streaming and Limelight on the phone, but it is a bit finicky to use.

I looked into the resolution thing but setting it to anything that has the width res less than the height seems to crash most games. I will just wait until the Dive gets here and see how it looks.

On another forums one guy just bought it and said it is much better than splashtop. The picture quality is better and the latency. is much smaller. Sharing network between PC and Android just creates LAN and uses it to transfer data between. That program uses USB directly to transfer the data so it moves faster and more reliable through it. I'm going to give it a shot after I get some money.

I've tried twomonusb, and here are the results :-)

I think twomonusb is a nive app, but there are problems.
The good:

you extend you desktop, so your phone becomes a second monitor, a real second monitor.
So you can set resolution, extend your desktop make it your primary monitor, play games and video in full screen.
So no more windowed mode.

And now the bad:
I have a I7 laptop with GeForce gt 750m but because twomonusb is cpu demanding as soon as you play a game or 4k 360 3d vid frame rate drops.
I tried a youtube video in full HD and there I did not notice frame rate drop.
It is still the best solution, as the frame rate is still better then splashtop (even if splashtop is connected via usb with internet pass through)
Kainy did not work for me so I don't know about that.
I think if you have a proper desktop with a heavy graphics card all will work better but for me twomonusb is a lot better but still not ideal.

Hello all.

I want to give it a try.
Does anyone have the "mous" script for the FreePie? If yes can someone post the code please?

Then which Tridef version do I need to play games in SBS? Like "War Thunder".

Thanks a lot

Here is a sample script from the FreePIE website (http://andersmalmgren.github.io/FreePIE/samples.html)

def update():
#Apply deadband filter to avoid drift
#And continousRotation filter to yaw axis to avoid jumps when passing tracker center
x = filters.deadband(filters.delta(math.degrees(filters.continousRotation(android[0].yaw))), deadband)
y = filters.deadband(filters.delta(math.degrees(android[0].pitch)), deadband)

mouse.deltaX = x * multiply
mouse.deltaY = y * multiply

if starting:
deadband = 0.01
multiply = 5
android[0].update += update

I just tried twomonusb, but I have refunded it.

It connects as a second screen just fine and works for windows but when I fired up a game (Borderlands 2) it kills my computer (i7 @ 3.5GHz - GTX670) and the fps becomes unplayable. I tried mucking with the settings but after a couple of hours I gave up and refunded the app.

So far GeForce Streaming is the best solution but can be annoying and requires an Nvidia card, Splashtop and Kainy are the best but you will need a good WiFi network.

With GeForce streaming are you getting lagless gameplay? I got GTX650 OC and havent tried it yet. How did you set it up?
